Why did the changes of the 1960's happen?

Australia was revolutionised in the '60's. The 60's was era when the mini skirt came out. Then it was denim jeans (which was actually what convicts used to wear the early 1900's), and then television was a big impact, and then it was the construction of houses which was completely changed forever.
