What was the Czech stance on Nazism?

I know that Czechoslovakia was taken in as a puppet state and part of the "Reich". The people were treated terribly and the Germans acted like they were liberating the German population in the country. I read somewhere that Czechs were sent to gas chamber because they were considered Slavic and I read somewhere else that the SS allowed Czech men to join.
