Would people find this offensive?

I'm making a cosplay for an anime convention based on a story I wrote, and the character I'm playing has a jacket with the Prussian coat of arms stenciled on the back. The Prussian coat of arms is an eagle that looks kind of like the eagle-holding-a-swastika Nazi Germany emblem. Do you think that someone less versed in World War I history would make the association to the Third Reich and take offense?
