Messaging Phone Tethering AT&T?

I had an old Motorola Razor and put my sim card in (AT&T). I have the unlimited data for MESSAGING PHONES on my plan. I got connected on my MacBook Pro with no problems and the internet worked fine. AT&T doesn't offer Messaging Phone tethering so I am only paying for the data on my phone. I am not being charged right?
