Tether 400d to a mac?

i want to do tethered shooting with my 400d on my mac. other forums have been saying that you can use the EOS utility that comes with the camera. i installed it and all it did was copy all the images from my camera about 7 times. so anybody know how or can link me to a tutorial? i will download other free software
