I'm trying to tether my iPhone 4 connection to my ps3?

I'm trying to connect my ps3 to my iPhone 4 for 3G tethering using "tether me" from Cydia.. But I'm having a problem with the ssid. My iPhone says the name is "Whes's iPhone" but when I put that into my ps3 it rejects it, I believe it's because of the apostrophe. When I tether to my PC my ssid shows up as Whes•€s iPhone, I don't see symbols like that on the ps3 keyboard. And I don't know what else to do. Please help I need to play COD badly.
